Went to the SJ Improv last night for 'Slanted Comedy--Filipino Night.' I made that title up. But 80% of the people in there looked like they could be my cousin and the jokes were centered around Filipino culture, so it seems right to assume it was Filipino night. Anyway, I loved it! I've always admired the ability 0f comedians to deliver such inappropriate and crude jokes. After 8+ comics, I only heard variations of jokes on racism--asian people/white people suck, dicks--i had sex with my girl/she loves that shit, and homos--no homo/but hella homo, BUT it never seemed to get old. Lul'z and lmao'z all day, son. Note to self: Start going to more comedy shows.
Ali Wong - She was one of the performers I watched last night. She tends to falter a bit with weak/one line jokes, but when she gets it she gets it. Vulgarity<3!
A couple of my faaav Dane Cook pieces from 'A Vicious Circle.' The man is a genius.
