I'm back from my first quarter at college and I did not expect anything that was thrown at me; in regards to the curriculum and the people that I met. Long-story short, college was a huge surprise. High school academics do not prepare you at all; high school teaches you how to cheat and color. Ah, I was so good at that. But I wouldn't be there if I didn't deserve to be, so I plan on working my ass off to prove it. We'll see how long that thought lasts. Anyway, my friends! I love them. 'Nuff said. I don't need to go into detail about each and every one of them, but coming into college I was afraid of not meeting anyone, being stuck in my room praying my roommates would take me somewhere with them, or having to awkwardly introduce myself to people in hopes that they would befriend me. Thankfully, it only took a day for me to find my groove and I never had to experience those 'worst case scenarios' I tossed and turned about the weeks before arriving. I've been through a lot these past 3 months (which is a year in 'college time'); but every single thing I did, I would love to relive and do again. Ello Winter Quarter? You have a lot to live up to.
Anyway, college is not all I have on my mind. I'm home! I'm happy! I hope this break just takes away all the stress pimples I've accumulated this past week and brings the relief I've been waiting for since the first week of classes. Hm; this break has been a long time coming, lets hope it lives up to the hype. So far, helllla good.
